Vignette Book
The purpose of this project was to write our own stories and explore our unique voices as writers. Some big questions we explored were: Who am I? What events, people, places, objects, feelings have helped construct me to become who I am today? What is next for me? Where do I plan on going? How can we pair art with writing in a meaningful way? We created our own vignette books complete with stories, a cover, and an author biography. First, we read a House on Mango Street for inspiration. Then, we wrote first drafts for our own vignettes. We then went through a process of critique and revision before completing our final product.
Something I found challenging was trying to figure out what to write about. Thankfully the prompts that we were given helped a lot. I would look back on my past journal entries to get some ideas. I am really proud of the design and layout of my book. and I don't want to change anything.

Scenes From My Life
For the Scenes from My Life project, the purpose was to explore more in-depth moments in our lives we have experienced that impacted us, whether positive or negative. Some Big questions we explored during Scenes From my Life were “what are some of the hidden or special memories that you can share during this project”, another question we got asked was “how can this project show off a part of you while showing the scenes of your life”. The steps to complete this project were to first organize your thoughts and facts in each slide so you had an idea of what you were going to write in this or that slide, then after organizing we were put to write our stories, memories, special or unique moments from our life, in the end, we did some editing like making sure the slides were in order and making sure we had no mistakes in the writing and whatnot. The final product was an assortment of slides each containing an image and description.
A part of this project that was challenging was being vulnerable nd sharing some hard moments of my life. But it felt good to let it out and show my true self. I believe that your stories make you who you are. I am proud to have shared it and am proudd to be myself. If I were to do this project again I would probably make it more appealing to the eye.
